Thursday, 12 February 2015

Hello, my 1 year old

Dear baby boy,

You are officially one year old. Mummy is dread when think back 1 year ago, a night before you are born..the pain come hourly, shorten by half hourly,15 minutes ,3 minutes, and 1min apart for the whole night babe. You are born the next day at 8.54am with 3-4 pushes.pheww..

You make me the worst mother in the world when you are admitted to hospital at 3 months old for 10 days. Those 10 days are like hell for mummy. It is so heart breaking to see you endure the needles and sucking the gas..doctor diagnose you as pneumonia with bronchiolitis.

A visit to the doctor becomes our routine until you are 6-7 months. I can really recall..babe, that is mummy forever nightmare.

In between, mummy also need to wrestling with my own emotion and uncertainty, self-doubt,blaming and pressure to give up my job. Not mummy reluctant to give up the job babe, mummy needs to think further and just cant throw all the responsibilty to provide for family away. It is a pressure and be glad mummy have gone through.

Happy Birthday,my boy. Sister, mummy and daddy love you forever.

Bye bye diaper

Chloe was officially declared a very good bye to her diapers..the process goes as simple as the story below..

After my confinement ( given birth to her little brother), we are back to normal.. she goes back to school again after 1 month lap.  But, the forgetful aka sleep deprives mum forgot to bring diapers to school. (she went for full day schooling).

When she returned from school, these are our conversation..
Chloe: Mum, why you didn't bring diaper today?
Mum: Oh .. I forgot. Did you pee on your pant while nap?
Chloe: No.
Mum: (check for any wet pant inside the bag, found none, and a bit relief)
Mum: No need to wear diaper la, you are so big already..

However, I did forget to bring the diaper for her for a few days row.. and our daughter-mum conversation almost like above everyday.. then ONE NIGHT..

Chloe: I don't want to wear diaper, I am so big already..

And... that mark the night when I am so worry that she might wet the bed. I am so alert ..I even try to put on the diaper when she asleep but she declined..ya, declined in her sleep.

However, she still need to wake up to pee at about midnight.. I am ok with that since I am breast feeding the little one..

OK, 3y 8 mth.. say bye bye to the diapers.. you are free!

Happiness is to embrace this moment

Recently come across a sharing from my facebook friend that really enlighten me. It is like a hard slap that make me awake..

The title is 22 habits of unhappy person..

Guess what.. I got most if not some of the habits..

One habits that very annoyed me is .. we always live in the present.. how to say? We always waiting for future and forget the embrace now. This MOMENT.. we always waiting for the day to come and never enjoy our current living. When we are in high school, we waiting for our university life, when we in university, we will be dreaming of working life, and when we working we will be thinking of family life.. the list go on and on and we never enjoy our current life..

After I read this..i start thinking.. this is indeed my situation.. never satisfied with current living.. sort of living in the future and forgot to enjoy the moment.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean that we do not need to plan for future. We still plan for future, but while waiting the future to materialize, we enjoy this moment, the things, person around us.

I started be grateful for my current situation..environment..person.. I simply enjoy it.
